Duties
-Establishment and implementation of Approved Purchasing Procedures
-Implementation of Procurement Internal Controls
-Development and maintenance of an Effective Supplier database
-Implementation of a Value for Money Purchasing Policy
-Maintenance of Optimal Stocks
-Ensuring Adherence to the Purchasing Budget
-Effective implementation of the Material Requirement Plan
-Updating the purchasing module on SAP
Job Specifications
-Good negotiating skills are a pre requisite
-Ensuring the purchasing function contributes directly to the bottom line
-Thinking outside the box and providing solutions to procurement problems
-An exceptionally analytical mind is necessary
Qualifications and Experience
-Degree/Diploma in Purchasing and Supplying Management
-3 years experience in the relevant field
-Proficiency in SAP is an added advantage
-A professional qualifications is an added advantage
