Job Description
The incumbent will be responsible for:
-Identifying diamonds and other minerals
-Evaluating rough and cut diamonds and other minerals
-Compiling data on evaluated diamonds and other minerals
-Papering consignments, packing lists and release orders for purchased minerals
-Inspecting consignment throughout the chain of custody
-Gathering, compiling and analyzing information on current trends, pricing and market intelligence in mineral markets
-Processing Police Affidavits and other related mineral exhibits brought to MMCZ
Academic Qualifications Experience
-BSc Hons. Geology Degree
-Diploma in Gemology is and added advantage
-Diamond Evaluation Certificate in cut rough diamonds
-At least 2 years relevant experience in diamond and mineral evaluation
-Clean class 4 drivers licence
