Job Description
Reporting to the Mine Manager, the Mining Manager will be responsible for managing the process of ore extraction from drilling, blasting, excavation from drilling, blasting, excavation, loading and hauling according to production planning models in lines with safety, health and environmental standards.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
*Degree IN MINING ENGINEERING OR EQUIVALENT
*FULL BLASTING LICENCE
*MINE MANAGER'S CERTIFICATE OF COMPETENCY
*AT LEAST 8 YEARS' EXPERIENCE IN A MINING ENVIRONMENT 5 OF WHICH ARE AT MANAGEMENT LEVEL
*EXPERIENCE WITH GREENFIELD/BROWNFIELD DIAMOND PROJECTS.
SKILLS;
*SOUND KNOWLEDGE OF PRODUCTION SCHEDULING AND EMV CAPACITY PLANNING SKILLS.
*SOUND PLANNING, ORGANISING AND COORDINATING SKILLS
*STRONG PEOPLE MANAGEMENT SKILLS
*STRONG TECHNICAL REPORT WRITING SKILLS.

Should be aged 26 or below,self-driven, have passion and hold a relevant degree with an upper second(2.1) class or better from an accredited institution of higher learning.
