Job Description
ZIMBABWE CONSOLIDATED DIAMOND COMPANY(ZCDC), a world class diamond producer for the long term benefit of Zimbabwe, seeks to recruit suitably qualified, experienced and self-driven candidates for the following exciting opportunities that have arisen across the business:
POST 1: Mine Manager
Reporting to the CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER(COO), the Mine Manager will be responsible for leading and directing the end to end mining and extraction processes. The position ensures the fulfilment of the process of ore extraction from drilling, blasting, excavation, loading, hauling in line with safety, health and environmental standards.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
DEGREE IN MINING ENGINEERING OR EQUIVALENT
*SOLID AND STRONG BACKGROUND IN MINING MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP
* FULL BLASTING LICENCE
*MINE MANAGER'S CERTIFICATE OF COMPETENCY
*AT LEAST 10 YEARS' EXPERIENCE IN A MINING MANAGEMENT ENVIRONMENT
*EXPERIENCE WITH GREENFIELD/BROWNFIELD DIAMOND PROJECTS
SKILLS:
*SOUND TECHNICAL/PRODUCTION LEADERSHIP SKILLS
*SOUND PLANNING, ORGANISING AND COORDINATING SKILLS
*STRONG PEOPLE MANAGEMENT SKILLS
*STRONG TECHNICAL REPORT WRITING SKILLS
ATTRIBUTES:
Should be aged 26 or below,self-driven, have passion and hold a relevant degree with an upper second(2.1) class or better from an accredited institution of higher learning.
