Job Description
VACANCY: CITY OF MASVINGO
Applications are invited from suitable candidates to fill the vacancies that have arisen in the City Engineer's Department.
JOB TITLE: CIVIL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (1)
SIX MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT
GRADE 13
REPORTING TO: DEPUTY CITY ENGINEER
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Carry out survey work on water,sewer and road projects.
2. Assist the City Engineer in preparation of Bill Of Quantities for in-house projects
3. Assist the engineer in Building and Road Maintenance scheduling and report preparation.
4. Assist the City Engineer in project site Management
5. Assist the City Engineer in the design and construction supervision of water and sewer reticulation and roads and storm water drainage
6. Assist developers in identification of stand pegs
7. Produce monthly reports for the City Engineer
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A higher national diploma in Civil Engineering
2.At least 5 years experience in construction of water and sewer reticulation and roads and storm water drainage
3. Registered with the Zimbabwe Institution Of Engineers
4. Must have a clean class four driver's license
5.Must be able to work under pressure and minimum supervision
