Job Description
Qualifications
-A degree in Accounting, Finance or Auditing from a recognized institution.
-Possession or a professional qualification such as full CIS,SAA,CIMA or ACCA.
-Be computer literate/familiar with Pastel V12
-At least one year's experience in local authority environment
-A clean class drivers licence
Duties
-Review the systems establishment to ensure compliance with Council policies, plans, procedure and regulations .
-To critically analyse the expenditure patterns with a view of ensuring that Council receive value for money for all expenses
-Advise management and Audit Committee on audit matters.
-Follow up to ascertain that appropriate action is taken reported audit findings
-Co-ordinate internal and external Audit
-Establish and maintain a quality assurance program to evaluate the operation of internal Audit section
