Program Accountant Harare
SAfAIDS is a regional NGO working in southern Africa. It is a centre of excellence that promotes effective and ethical development responses to sexual reproductive health and rights , HIV and gender through advocacy ,communication and social mobilization.
SAfAIDS is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Program Accountant to join its dynamic team in its Regional Office in Zimbabwe.
Summary Of Position
The Program Accountant works under the guidance of the finance and the operations director to manage grants to SAfAIDS and ensure compliance with donor rules and regulations and other applicable guidelines. The Program Accountant ensures that expenditure is done in line with approved budgets and is responsible for all financial management and reporting.
Requirements:
At least a Bachelor of Accounting Degree or similar qualification and a professional such as CIS , CIMA, or ACCA
Minimum of 6 years hands-on experience in a similar position
Experience developing standard financial reports( balance sheet , income statement, cash flow)
Experience and knowledge of USAID rules and regulations and GAAP is required
Grants management experience is a must
Knowledge of Pastel Evolution is essential
Experience in proposal budgeting is required
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work with minimum supervision
