Job Description
JFK Kapnek Trust is registered charitable trust, which has been operating in Zimbabwe since 1986. JK Kapnek Trust seeks to improve family health, reduce child mortality and create educational opportunities for children of Zimbabwe through the implementation of salable sustainable programs.
JK Kapnek Trust seeking to fill the vacancies of OI/ART Nurses based in the following districts detailed hereunder, Gokwe (6), Kwekwe (12), Chiredzi (8), Masvingo (8), Mwenezi (6), Gutu (6).
The contract would 11 months with a 3 months probation.
The OI/ART Nurses reports to the Matron/Sister in Charge. The OI/ART Nurses is a registered nurse with OI/ART experience and trained in rapid HIV testing and counselling who is assigned to work at a health facility.
The Broad Objectives of the position will be
-Conduct Provider Initiated Testing and Counselling as per national guidelines
-Documentation of clients in the relevant monitoring and evaluation tools (registers)
-Initiate eligible clients on Anti-retro-viral (ARV) Treatment
Qualifications and experience required:
-Diploma/Degree or relevant Nursing qualifications, RGN
-Current registration with Zimbabwe Nursing Council
-Knowledge of National AIDS and TB guidelines
- Training and experience in HIV counselling and testing for adults, adolescents and children
-Familiar with M&E tools for OI&ART management
-A team player who can work with minimum supervision
