Job Description
The Nutritionist will be responsible for providing nutrition technical support to the project.
Key duties and Responsibilities
~Preparing food security and nutrition strategies in line with project work plan.
~Preparing training manuals and schedules fro project staff and partners on Social Analysis and Action ( SAA ) gender, decision making and equity.
~Providing technical backstopping on food security and nutrition to program staff and partners.
~Conducting process monitoring to the District on child nutrition and maternal health
~Developing and facilitating implementations of strategies increase dietary diversity at HH level
~Supporting the engagement of community leaders, fathers, grandmothers, on nutrition, time burden and gender parity in decision making.
Developing and reviewing monitoring tools for sharing with key partners and stakeholders.
Qualifications, skills and experience:
~Degree in Nutrition / Public Health or equivalent.
~4-5 years experience in Nutrition or related programs.
~Experience working in a communal environment and working with rural communities and its leadership
~Excellent report writing skills
~Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
