VACANCIES: BAKER TILLY GWATIDZO
Applications are invited from suitable qualified and experienced person to fill in the following vacancies that have arisen within Baker Tilly Gwatidzo.
Tax Consultant:
Major duties and responsibilites
1. Preparation of tax returns and supporting schedules for various clients, provisional tax calculations, attending to queries from ZIMRA and clients.
2. Assist in winning work and manage successful delivery of tax compliance Projects.
3. Identify tax risks and opportunities and additional areas of service to offer the clients
4. Checking assessments and preparing objections.
5. Analysing tax accounts, attending to biling and engagement processes.
Requirements:
1. Degree in accounting
2. Relevant professional tax qualification
3. Knowledge of tax laws
4. At least 5 years relevant experience in this area
5. International tax background with experience in cross-border technical tax matters and risks a distinct advantage.

HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER
Major duties and responsibilities:
Assisting in the recruitment process
Assisting in the process of benefits and salary
Contributes to the effectiveness of employment wellness programmes
Tracks administrative record keeping and takes ownership of processes and identifies opportunities to improve efficiencies.
Ensures all records and employee correspondence are correctly recorded.
Assisting in ensuring the effectiveness of the training program
Industrial and employee relations
Job evaluation
Requirements:
Degree in Human resources/ Social Sciences
Professional Qualifications such as IPMZ
Knwoledge of Labour Laws
At least 5 years relevant experience in this area

IT AUDITOR:
Key responsibilities include:
Providing assistance with IT audit planning
Identifying, evaluating and implementing state-of-the-art IT auditing tools and techniques
Assisting clients to ensure compliance with IT governance requirements and effective IT risk management practices
Executing risk-based IT audits and IT risk management reviews( IT projects, application systems, general IT controls, CAATs, IT security, etc.)

Requirements:
Relevant tertiary qualification
Relevant professional qualifications such as CISA
3+ years IT auditing/IT risk management experience
Understanding of IT governance practices and IT risk management

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Job description:
Engage in market research in order to identify new opportunities for business
Explain to potential customers about company services:
Follow up potential clients so as to close the business deals
Respond to queries and complaints from clients as regards the company’s services
Develop business proposals for prospective clients.
Develop innovative strategies for retaining clients;
Develop comprehensive knowledge about the firm, its marketing activities, prospective clients, and the trends for the industry
Establish a knowledge storehouse of clients, referrals, RFPs, proposals, presentations, and prospects
Determine cross-selling opportunities among different offices.

REQUIREMENTS -SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND KNOWLEDGE CANDIDATES SHOULD POSSESS AND DEMONSTRATE THE FOLLOWING ATTRITUBTES:
Analytical skills: must be analytical thinker and should pay attention to details
Educational qualification: minimum of a bachelor’s degree in commerce or administration or related field
Project skills: Ability to manage a project effectively
Networking skills: the ability to build and maintain relationships and contacts
IT/ Computer skills: must be able to use the computer and similar gadgets
Ability to work under pressure and still meet up with given deadlines
Effective communication and people sklls
Must be a notably pleasant character
Planning skills: the ability to plan for a project and follow up to its completion
